Odyssey Drycell Motorcycle Batteries :: Aerostich/RiderWearHouse Motorcycle Jackets, Suits, Clothing, & Gear.

Powerful, rugged, advanced battery technology that works much better (and longer) than even the best conventional lead acid batteries. These batteries are more powerful and dependable. Cranking amp ratings are double to triple regular types. They have an 8 year design life, an ultra long shelf storage life and a low self-discharge rate – after sitting for months (without any trickle charge) it’ll start. Deep cycle reserve power provides sufficient amps for confident starts even when 70% discharged. Odyssey batteries have superior vibration resistance, a tough ABS case, and are lighter, too. Air shippable and non-spillable ‘starved-electrolyte’ design. Works right out of the box with no charging needed. The California Highway Patrol use these batteries on all their bikes because with the engine off they run their flashing lights and radios more than twice as long compared to regular batteries. See chart for model/fit applications. Specification range: 12V 14Ah. Cranking power: 100-380A. Weight: 6-26 lbs. Size: 5.43″–7.27″×3.11″–7.05″×3.98″x6.67″

So much happens in so little time

Where do you pour the coffee in it?

I’m often amazed at the emotional and logistical arcs that NPM (neo post modern) humans, or as I like to say,  homo ante modernorum neo,  put themselves through is the course of a day. I’m starting to think that our physiology hasn’t developed the capacity to handle it the pace/stress/impact of it all. Will there some form of evolutionary response? With the development of genetic engineering, a hyper-darwinist sequence could be (already has been?) used to increase the capacity of the HPA axis. I want two pituitary glands and an adrenal bump please…would such an increase be covered by work insurance?

North Shore Adventures

by baci on May.25, 2010, under the now

So last wknd I got to drive a 1964 Buick Skylark convertible around. Some thoughts.

  1. For such an awesome looking vehicle, it was pretty under powered. Like a 225 or something.
  2. What is it with steering wheels. There must be some “design” reason for having a car with all this metal and a super svelte, thinnish steering wheel. Now we also had a newer, “clown car” type of Scion along with us and it’s steering wheel was conversely much thicker. Is this some form of reverse psychology?
  3. Just outside Beaver Bay, MN you’ll find the Silver Beaver Rifle and Pistol Club.

When the beavers turn silver, the silver form a club
